How to remove and add a new ID to a element dynamically.

Hi, is it possible to change the ID of a element on a click of a button?

For example if I have the following code;

<button id="displayOpt1">Click Here</button>

When "displayOpt1" is pressed I want to change the id to "displayOpt2" - this would render the displayOpt1 button click redundant.

But the original onClick event is still called when the id is changed.

Changing the ID by itself won't stop the clicks from triggering the callback. Once the callback is registered, it is registered, and the ID has nothing to do with it.

If you had used a delegation, instead of binding, then changing the ID would have made a difference!

But changing IDs is not a good way to do this.

Or you can change on to one, and you don’t need to change the id or delegate or anything else.
