jquery autocomplit substring

I made using the "WYSIWYG" page with a form containing, inter alia, jquery autocomplit field. The form works fine, but unfortunately the value of the autocomplite field is too long (made up of several characters) and the server requires only the first 3. My question is how use in this program substring function in the form.

example: ALV - Andorra La Vella H/P,Andora I need to send to datebase only ALV from that field.

Autocomplete Widget | jQuery UI API Documentation says you should have 2 fields.

label which the user sees, and value which is used as the value of the forum,

{label: "ALV - Andorra La Vella H/P,Andora" , value :"ALV"}
]

Of you can just chop it down in your server program,

So everything ok but the editor which I use is not an option value for jquery autocomplit ... and so is the substring which I do not know how to use. And as for the server is not mine , unfortunately so I have to stick to requirements.

It’s hard to understand your english.

If you can only use raw text, you need to reformat it into the proper Object in a source function that calls response.

I am rather passionate and amateur of performing web pages so I write in this section about the problem which I struggling. Czy możesz podać link do Twojej strony internetowej? Byłoby o wiele łatwiej, jeśli widzimy tylko to, co masz zrobić.
