The part you want is in here. http://www.commadot.com/jquery/easebox/ It's the function called resizeZoom() that figures out the aspect ratio. (Click the top left image)
Someone else on the list provided it for me a while back. The page as a whole is still VERY buggy. Its on my list to redo.
