Jason- You aren't the only one who feels the pain of the lack of a search feature. Being the admin for the site, throw the pain of not being able to fix this problem into that, and you'll know where I'm at.
I'm sure I sound like a broken record to others who've made suggestions about the Plugins site, but the main problem I'm dealing with is the limitations of the Drupal CMS. I'll do some testing with the native Drupal search, and then see if I can integrate some Google Search for just the plugins site as well.
