Safari on Windows is a beta version 3. Most Mac users still use Safari 2, the stable release version included with current versions of Mac OS X (the 10.4.x family). Even the Mac version of Safari 3 is still in beta, due to be shipped with OS X 10.5.
Just make sure you are comparing apples to apples (no pun intended) when finding Safari differences between operating systems. I wouldn't expect Safari to have identical results between Mac and Windows until OS X 10.5 is released and gains some market share (thus spreading Safari 3 across the Mac community).
