Sorry Joel, I should point out what version of Internet Explorer I'm using too - It is Internet Explorer 6, with Windows XP sp2. I have been able to find my problem - internet explorer with its dastardly cache!
The link above points to one with two working dropdowns, on project and company. The effect looks beautiful by the way! As a testiment to how fantastic jquery was to work with, the "rounded corner" hack was made in approx 15 minutes and a bit of testing. The whole thing looks fantastic!
