Try something like..
$("#btnTraffic").click(function(){
if ($("#trafficLight").css("background-color") == 'green') {
$("#trafficLight").css("background-color", "yellow");
} else if ($("#trafficLight").css("background-color") ==
'yellow') {
$("#trafficLight").css("background-color", "red");
} else {
$("#trafficLight").css("background-color", "green");
}
});
That should do it for you.
