There\u2019s lots of ways to get involved:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/groups.google.com\/a\/creativecommons.org\/g\/cc-australia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Join our mailing list<\/a>:<\/strong> Subscribing to our mailing list is the best way to stay up to date with what\u2019s happening with CC Australia. Click the &#8216;Join group&#8217; button at the top the <a href=\"https:\/\/groups.google.com\/a\/creativecommons.org\/g\/cc-australia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Group page<\/a>. Please note: you will need a Google Account to sign up. If you don&#8217;t already have a Google Account, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/accounts\/answer\/27441?hl=en#existingemail\">use an existing email address<\/a> to create one (such as a personal email address or your work email address).<\/li><li><strong>Follow us on social media:<\/strong> Connect with us on <a href=\"https:\/\/facebook.com\/ccaustralia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ccAustralia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Twitter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/creative-commons-australia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn<\/a> for regular updates about CC and related topics. We encourage everyone to share their CC experience using the #CCinAU hashtag.<\/li><li><strong>Connect with <a href=\"https:\/\/join.slack.com\/t\/creativecommons\/shared_invite\/zt-25y3p2439-rJxOJHSU240vnW3xGyFZOA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CC Australia on Slack<\/a>:<\/strong> Once you have joined the CC Slack workspace add yourself to the <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.slack.com\/archives\/CAX1AQ0GG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">#cc-australia channel<\/a> to contribute to the conversation. There are lots of other channels on the workspace to explore as well.<\/li><li><strong>Attend <a href=\"https:\/\/au.creativecommons.net\/tag\/chapter-meetings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chapter meetings<\/a>:<\/strong> We host quarterly Chapter meetings open to everyone. Dates and agenda items for upcoming meetings are announced <a href=\"https:\/\/au.creativecommons.net\/tag\/chapter-meetings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">on the website<\/a>, the mailing list, social media and Slack.<\/li><li><strong>Participate in<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1IQ_YVCMLNoCG5aEu5EIaBjT9EVrMW1gIKni9dedQ2B4\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> a working group<\/a>:<\/strong> Between Chapter meetings our working groups meet regularly to progress our goals for Governance, Communications, and Engagement activities (locally and globally). Everyone is welcome to join the working groups.<\/li><li><strong>Join the <a href=\"https:\/\/network.creativecommons.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CC Global Network<\/a>:<\/strong> Membership of the CC Global Network is not mandatory to be a member of CC Australia. If you are interested in also being a member of the Global Network, <a href=\"https:\/\/network.creativecommons.org\/sign-up\/individual\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">individuals<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/network.creativecommons.org\/sign-up\/institution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">institutions<\/a> can sign up to be members.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everyone is welcome to be a part of the CC Australia Chapter.
