EasyTAG - A Tool For Viewing and Changing Music Tagging Metadata
EasyTAG is a new utility for editing and viewing music tags. It works with Windows, Linux, UNIX and MAC operating systems. The utility helps users to manage their music library by creating, renaming or deleting tracks. It can also be used to preview a song before adding it to the play list.
EasyTAG comes with a powerful track and album editor and supports both text and audio track and album tags. EasyTAG is an open-source project based upon the powerful GarageBand 2.5 software library developed by Apple. Users can import audio files from their PC via CD players, USB drives or by streaming them online. With easytag, one can quickly create, rename or delete various tracks including embedded bass, guitar, vocals and other instrument tracks, and create Repeat or random tagged tracks.
EasyTAG allows you to search, preview and add tags to audio files stored in Quicktime, Windows, iTunes or Linux (OS X). It uses a simple interface that has many features such as creating, renaming or deleting multiple tracks, playing a selection of the selected files, adding comments, sorting and grouping tracks, controlling the volume, enabling or disabling comments, and using different effects. Easytag can be used in conjunction with GarageBand itself. There are options in easytag to save selected files as PDF or other document types. It also allows editing and generating metadata for the files in the audio format.
