<p>Typically, operators are greedy by default and are only non-greedy when
a <code>?</code> suffix is used, e.g., <code>(expr)*</code> is greedy while <code>(expr)*?</code> is
not. However, this can be inverted via the <code>U</code> “ungreedy” flag.</p>
