What is the user problem or growth opportunity you want to see solved?
friends asking me: "Where can I see which of the uploaded images are being used (in Wikipedia)?"
How do you know that this problem exists today? Why is this important?
I have convinced friends to install the Commons app. They keep asking me: "Where can I see which of the uploaded images are being used (in Wikipedia)?" I think such a function could be a very strong motivation to upload more images. It should be possible to see where the individual image files are used in the Commons app (linking). In addition, it would be nice if there were an overview page for each user where all uses are recognizable (linking). (For example, where they are in the "statistics" of the users in the Commons app).
Who will benefit from it?
all users
Anything else you would like to add?

When you click on that "three vertical dots" icon (in upper right corner) on your image in Commons app and choose View file page, you'll have a link there File usage on Commons (as well as File usage on other wikis if things like Wikipedia use it - see e.g. example).
Does it work for you?

(Or, it might get demotivating if very few (or none) of your images gets used on wikipedia... 🤷♂️ )
