<p>The setlocale() function is used to set and retrieve the current
locale. If <em>locale</em> is <strong>NULL</strong>, the current
locale is returned. Otherwise, <em>locale</em> is used to set the
locale for the given <em>category</em>.</p>
<p><em>category</em> can have the following values:</p>
