  <p>The function log() returns the natural (base e) logarithm of
  <em>num</em>.  There&#39;s a domain error if <em>num</em> is
  negative, a range error if <em>num</em> is zero.</p>

  <p>In order to calculate the logarithm of <em>x</em> to an arbitrary
  base <em>b</em>, you can use:</p>
