Set font family and font weight with single class like in Tailwind 3

In tailwind 3, you could use a utility like font-display which would apply both a font weight and font family for that class, if defined in the config.

However, that does not seem to work in tailwind 4.

Conceivably, one could do this:

@theme {
    --font-weight-display: 900;
    --font-display: 'Open Sans';
}

But only one .font-display { } class ends up being output.

The docs here, are suspiciously absent on details on how to set font weight, leaving the user wondering how to approach this:

@theme {
  --font-display: "Oswald", "sans-serif";
  --font-display--font-feature-settings: "cv02", "cv03", "cv04", "cv11"; 
  --font-display--font-variation-settings: "opsz" 32; 
}
