When used on a phone there is a textbox popped up after date selection

When using this add-on in my phones browser, specifically an Android phone a textbox or textarea is pop's up after selecting a date. When using the phone browser for a standard date picker this problem does not happen. Here is the sequence of events.

1. I click the datetimepicker icon to open the date/time selection
2. I am prompted with the phone's keyboard
3. I minimize the keyboard so that the calendar control is visible
4. I select a date, the date and initial time setting is populated in the field

Result is a text area displayed over the calendar control and the keyboard pops up again. I have to minimize the keyboard again and select 'Done' or make a time selection in order to get rid of the text area displaying over the calendar control
