Re: [csswg-drafts] [css-values] Function for (flattened) element content like `attr()` (#11483)

Somehow I was not aware that [`content()`](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-content/#content-function) already exists. The prose does not quite say how the content is flattened for its default `text` value, but it is probably roughly doing what I proposed above.

The scope of this proposal then should shift to add `type()` support in an optional second argument as in `attr()`. See also #12145.
