Photographic postcard of Olympic swimmer T.S. Battersby

This postcard features white text at the base that reads: 'T S Battersby. Wigan. 1 Mile world's record holder.' Handwritten in the top left corner is the text: 'Sincerely Yours T S Battersby'. A handwritten note on the reverse reads: 'Dear Miss Kerr, I promised you last night I would send you a photograph of myself, and here it is. I hope you like it. I think I shall come down to Blackpool after the 44o yards N.C. Championship. Remember me to David Billington. Hope you have had a very good season. I remain Yours Sincerely, T. S. Battersby'.
