Governor of NSW Admiral Sir Harry Woldsworth Rawson seated seated next to his daughter, Alice Rawson, 1908

This stereoscope card depicts the Governor of NSW Admiral Sir Harry Woldsworth Rawson and his daughter, Alice Rawson, with his Aide-de-camp Leslie Orme Wilson and Secretary in uniform. This photograph was taken prior to the visit of the American Great White Fleet in 1908. Stereoscope cards were a popular memento of the Great White Fleet visit. They were produced in sets with images of the ships, parades and decorations and allowed the viewer to see a photograph as a three-dimensional image.
