This black and white photograph depicts four boys on the left and five girls on the right and is attached to a backing board. The boys are in swimsuits and the girls are in formal dresses. Above the photograph on the backing board is written: "Albert Park State School Champion Squadron Teams of Victoria". On or beside each of the boys is a number with the corresponding name of the person written below the image:

 

1. Beaurepaire, 2. L Baully, 3. R Claringbold, 4. F Stubbs. Beside each of the girls is a number with the corresponding names below; 1. Stella Carter, 2. Marysue Richardson, 3. May Cox, 4. Stella Josephs, 5. Lily Beaurepaire.

 

In later life Beaurepaire became a successful businessman and civic leader. During his time at Albert Park State School he demonstrated a talent for sports, particularly swimming and he represented Australia in the 1908 London Olympics.
