Border guards beside a train on the Italian border

Black and white photographic print showing the German/ Italian border. Two Italian border guards, in full uniform, including hats and guns, are walking alongside the train. A passenger with his head stuck out of the window is to the front of the photographer. An inscription on the reverse reads: `Border guards in Italy / November 1948 / Alex Nypl / (Newman)'. Alex Nypl was a Czechoslovakian migrant who arrived in Melbourne on PROTEA, 23 December 1948.
