18-footer J.M.H during the 1951 World's 18-footers Championship, Sydney Harbour

This image shows Queensland yacht J.M.H underway during the 18-footer World Championship on Sydney Harbour in 1951. J.M.H. was owned and skippered by Jack Hamilton who used the mainsail from the yacht HELEN. HELEN's insignia of a letter 'H' within a sheild can be seen underneath Hamilton's J.M.H. emblem of a blue pennant with white bars. The World 18-footer Championship was won in 1951 by Sydney boat MYRA TOO, which was owned, built and skippered by shipwright Bill Barnett of Berrys Bay.
