18-footer CULEX III on Sydney Harbour
This image probably depicts Queensland yacht CULEX III during either the National or World's 18-footers Championship on Sydney Harbour in 1951. HARMONY was skippered by Lance Watts and the titles were won by Sydney boat MYRA TOO which was owned, built and skippered by Berrys Bay shipwright Bill Barnett. CULEX III was built in 1949 by Watts & Wright and won the National 18-footers title in 1950.
