Photograph of Dunbar monument at a cemetery, the headstone features a model of the DUNBAR sinking at sea. This image has a brownish tinge and is mounted on C Pickering Photographic Artist card. The reverse reads: Uncle [Kliner Waller] & Aunt [Hanna Maria] Waller / and family of six / victims of the wreck / of the Dunbar / August 20th 1857'.
This was found inside a book entitled: 'A narrative of the melancholy wreck of THE DUNBAR Merchant ship, on the South Head of Port Jackson, August 20th, 1857'. Hannah was the daughter of prominent minister Henry Dowling
