[Catching a stingray]

This photograph was taken by Tudor Washington Collins (b.1898, d.1970), possibly in the 1940s.

 

In this photo, there are two men standing on the sand at the water's edge, the man on the left having hooked a stingray which he is hauling from the water, while a third man is partially visible at the upper left, and coastal vegetation appears in the background.

 

The photographic medium is gelatin dry plate negative, measuring 82 mm x 107 mm (1/4 plate), on glass. It is classified under negatives/photographs/AAT Visual Works.
