[Weighing a marlin on a wharf]

This photograph was taken by Tudor Washington Collins (b.1898, d.1970) in 1939.

 

This scene depicts a man holding a fishing rod standing to the left of a suspended marlin, his hand resting on one of its fins, while the text 'R.S. How. 792 LBS 21/3/39. Ozone.' is written on its side, and the sea and coastline appear in the background.

 

The photographic medium is gelatin dry plate negative, measuring 107 mm x 82 mm (1/4 plate), on glass. It is classified under negatives/photographs/AAT Visual Works.
