[Portrait of a man standing next to a dead shark]

This photograph was taken by Tudor Washington Collins (b.1898, d.1970), possibly in the 1940s.

 

This image shows a man holding a fishing rod in his right hand and holding a fin of a shark with his left hand, the shark hanging next to him with a sharp object stabbed into its side and "535 1-3-46 OZON" written on it in white.

 

The photographic medium is gelatin dry plate negative, measuring 107 mm x 82 mm (1/4 plate), on glass. It is classified under negatives/photographs/AAT Visual Works.
