[Catching a stingray]

This photograph was taken by Tudor Washington Collins (b.1898, d.1970), possibly in the 1940s.

 

This scene depicts two men standing on the sand at the water's edge, with the man on the left having hooked a stingray which is partially visible emerging above the water, while coastal vegetation appears in the background.

 

The photographic medium is gelatin dry plate negative, measuring 82 mm x 107 mm (1/4 plate), on glass. It is classified under negatives/photographs/AAT Visual Works.
