LADEE Lunar Mission Briefing

NASA Headquarters Public Affairs Officer Dwayne Brown moderates a Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) mission briefing at NASA Headquarters, Thursday, August 22, 2013 in Washington. Data from NASA's LADEE mission provided unprecedented information about the environment around the moon and gave scientists a better understanding of other planetary bodies in our solar system and beyond. The LADEE mission launched at 11:27 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Va. The mission was successfully concluded with a planned impact onto the Moon on April 18, 2014.
