Preparing for Testing the Saturn V

The Saturn V rocket S-II simulator component is lifted into place on the A-2 Test Stand at NASA Stennis Space Center, then known as the Mississippi Test Facility. It simulated the weight, dimensions, and attachment fittings of an actual Saturn V second stage (S-II) to ensure the stand was ready for S-II installation and testing.
