Fairchild 22

Description (January 16, 1936) Fairchild 22: This is one of the hardest aircraft to identify in Langley's past, as it appeared in numerous guises. Built as a standard Fairchild 22, the NACA changed the wing, the wing position, the flaps, the tail surfaces and even the engine. The identity of the NACA 60 was not always applied, to add to the confusion. The NACA also operated a Navy procured example, the XR2K-1.
