Abe Silverstein Supersonic Wind Tunnel
(C-1955-37670): The ASWT’s air dryer is one of the largest ever built. Note the personnel door at one corner for a sense of its size. It houses multiple layers of cylindrical units that contain the activated alumina desiccant. Gas burners heat the entire dryer to reactivate the desiccant after it has become saturated.
