Motors for the 19-Foot Pressure Tunnel

(L-15032): The 19-Foot Pressure Tunnel’s main drive motor components were shipped from the manufacturer, Crocker-Wheeler, by rail. Here two of Langley Field’s 0-6-0 steam locomotives are about to move the two flat cars over track laid directly to the tunnel. Track served most of the base during the 1930s.
