Schirra and Stafford Suit-Up
Astronauts Walter M. Schirra Jr. (seated), command pilot, and Thomas P. Stafford, pilot, Gemini VI prime crew, go through suiting up exercises in preparation for their forthcoming flight. The suit technicians are James Garrepy (left) and Joe Schmitt.
(Five days after this picture was taken the docking target (Agena Target Vehicle) failed during launch and Gemini VI was replanned to fly a mission to rendezvous with Gemini VII in December 1965. It became the first successful rendezvous between two crewed spacecraft.)
