Endeavour Arrival
The newest addition to the Space Shuttle orbiter fleet, Endeavour, arrived at Kennedy Space Center atop the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft on May 7, 1991. OV-105 was be demated from the Boeing aircraft, and towed to the Vehicle Assembly Building for installation of several major flight components. The next step was a lengthy stay in the Orbiter Processing Facility for a rigorous series of first flow tests. Endeavour launched on her first mission, STS-49, exactly 1 year later, on May 7, 1992
