Binding by Zaehnsdorf, 1914
The gold-tooled interlacing strapwork design is the main feature of this dark blue goatskin binding. A fleuron is added to each corner and in the centre is one of the nine armorial devices of Alexander H. Turnbull. The edges and turn-ins are also decorated. The upper turn-in bears the gold stamp ‘Bound by Zaehsnsdorf 1914’.
