CCC enrolleed from Riley Creek (Wisconsin) constructing a side deflector

Description/Notes: USFS photo #370680; The deflector that the men are installing is firmly anchored in the stream and is then covered with sod. The enrollees are digging under the farther bank to form a hole for trout shelter. The deflector will narrow the stream, thus increasing the speed of the flow of the water. The area in back of the deflector will all fill in.
