AG thanks DMV at Veterans Day observation

Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long, Jr., the Adjutant General of Virginia, thanks staff members from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles for their support of the Virginia National Guard and shares details about some of the Guard's recent accomplishments as the guest speaker at DMV's annual Veterans Day observation Nov. 8, 2013, in Richmond. DMV has partnered with the Virginia National Guard's Fort Pickett-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute in the Troops to Trucks Program where military members are able to use their military experience to help qualify for a commercial drivers license. DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb recognized Lt. Col. Jimmy Kilbourne, Sgt. 1st Class Allen Harris and Sgt. 1st Class Charles Flynn from the 183rd RTI for their work with Troops to Trucks, and he also recognized DMV employees who are currently serving in the military, served in the past or had family members who served.
