AG and SEL recognize 183rd RTI's “Institute of Excellence” status
Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long, Jr., the Adjutant General of Virginia, and Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis Green, the Virginia National Guard Senior Enlisted Leader, recognized Soldiers from the Virginia National Guard's Fort Pickett-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institue Feb. 21, 2014, for their hard work in helping the unit earn “Institute of Excellence” status following an accreditation process conducted by U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. The RTI headquarters and three battalions earned an overall score of 98 percent, marking it as one of the best U.S. Army learning centers in the nation.
