Va. Guard schoolhouse certifies rappel masters
Soldiers from around the country face the final challenge of the U.S. Army’s Rappel Master Course May 23, 2014, during the Aircraft Command and Control evaluation at Fort Pickett, Va. The five-day course is taught by rappel masters of the 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute and aims to certify air assault Soldiers as rappel masters, qualifying them to conduct rappelling operations both on the ground and on aircraft, train rappellers and also inspect rigged rappellers.
