New officer candidates catch flight to land navigation

Virginia National Guard officer candidates at the Fort Pickett-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute’s Officer Candidate School receive a helicopter orientation and safety briefing before boarding UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters April 18, 2015. The approximately 40 officer candidates were flown by Virginia Guard aviators from the Sandston-based 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment to one of Fort Pickett’s land navigation courses.
