Military kids enjoy 10th annual Va. Guard Youth Camp
Youth from around the state attend the 10th annual Virginia National Guard Youth Camp July 28, 2015, at Camp Pendleton in Virginia Beach. The weeklong camp, which ran from July 27-31, was presented by the Virginia National Guard Family Programs Office and offered the children of Virginia military members a wide variety of outdoor and indoor activities, as well as trips to Ocean Breeze Water Park, the Virginia Aquarium and Busch Gardens. On July 28, campers enjoyed playing in a bounce house, a representative from the Virginia Air and Space Center explained and demonstrated how electricity works, and staffers from the Winchester STARBASE Academy helped the campers race the wooden cars they built the day before.
