Top performers recognized at Pre-WOCS class
Chief Warrant Officer 5 Peter Panos, the command chief warrant officer for the Army National Guard, and Chief Warrant Officer 5 William D. Lyles, the command chief warrant officer for the Virginia Army National Guard, recognize top performers in physical fitness and leadership at Virginia’s Pre-Warrant Officer Candidate School Jan. 31, 2016, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The weekend-long Pre-WOCS course hosted by the Fort Pickett-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute provides prospective warrant officers the opportunity to experience what they can expect when they attend Warrant Officer Candidate School. The course is a requirement for all Virginia Guard Soldiers who hope to become warrant officers and includes a land navigation course, an Army Physical Fitness Test as well familiarization and training on the standard operating procedures candidates can expect to find in WOCS.
