Virginia Nationa Guard Soldiers in Warrant Officer Candidate School Class 16-001 present their class sign to Chief Warrant Officer 5 Peter Panos, the command chief warrant officer for the Army National Guard, Jan. 31, 2016, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. After successful completion of the Pre-WOCS course at the Fort Pickett-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute, Soldiers hoping to become warrant officers must complete a distance learning phase, then attend five drill weekends prior to attending the 15-day resident phase at Fort McClellan, Alabama.
