Warrant officer candidates present class sign

Virginia Nationa Guard Soldiers in Warrant Officer Candidate School Class 16-001 present their class sign to Chief Warrant Officer 5 Peter Panos, the command chief warrant officer for the Army National Guard, Jan. 31, 2016, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. After successful completion of the Pre-WOCS course at the Fort Pickett-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute, Soldiers hoping to become warrant officers must complete a distance learning phase, then attend five drill weekends prior to attending the 15-day resident phase at Fort McClellan, Alabama. The unveiling of the class sign marks the midway point in the five drill weekends, and the successful presentation earned the candidates additional privileges at the next training weekend.
