116th MET prepares for deployment at Fort Hood

Virginia National Guard Soldiers of the 116th Military Engagement Team conduct culture and language training March 31 - April 3, 2016, at Fort Hood, Texas, during the team’s mobilization training. The team discussed cultural nuances they might encounter while deployed as well as Russian and Arabic language. The 116th MET previously completed three weeks of training at Fort Pickett, Virginia, and is completing additional training requirements at Fort Hood. During their federal mobilization, the 116th MET will conduct military-to-military engagements with partners in U.S. Army Central Command’s area of responsibility including Kuwait, Jordan, Oman and Tajikistan.
