Infantry CSM visits 183rd RTI

Command Sgt. Maj. Wylie Hutchison, U.S. Army Infantry Proponent Command Sergeant Major, meets with leaders of the Virginia National Guard’s 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute and speaks with active duty, reserve and National Guard Soldiers enrolled in the 11B Advanced Leader Course April 12, 2016, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Col. Thomas Morgan, commander of the 183rd RTI, briefed Hutchison on the role and capabilities of the institute. Hutchison then fielded questions from the Soldiers enrolled in ALC and discussed the new High Physical Demand Test, implemented April 1, 2016. ALC combines doctrinal infantry tactics with lessons learned from recent conflicts and aims to prepare noncommissioned officers for the role of infantry platoon sergeant and other advanced leadership positions.
