VDF recognizes top performers
The Virginia Defense Force Commendation Medal is presented to Sgt. (Va.) Edward J. Turman for outstanding performance of duties and in recognition of his being selected as the VDF Noncommissioned Officer of the Year, and the Virginia Defense Force Meritorious Service Medal is presented to Lt. Col. (Va.) Nicholas A. Christoff for his performance of duties as the VDF officer in charge during the Virginia National Guard's support during heavy snow in January 2016.
