AG recognizes Department of Public Works personnel

 

Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, recognizes personnel assigned to the Fort Pickett Department of Public Works March 23, 2018, at Fort Pickett, Virginia, for their efforts in creating display items for the new Joint Forces Headquarters Building under construction at Defense Supply Center Richmond in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Williams presented his challenge coin to James Wright, Bobby McGhinnis, Ralph Jennings and Donald Roney in the Carpentry Shop for their work creating a display of antlers from one of the elk from DSCR, and he presented coins to Edward Lewis, Gary Dorton and Russel Jennings from the Roads and Grounds Shop for creating replicas of the Czech hedgehog static anti-tank obstacles that Virginia National Guard Soldiers face when they stormed the beach of Normandy on D-Day. Williams also presented the Meritorious Service Medal to Col. Charlton Dun, Virginia National Guard Construction and Facility Management Officer for his work managing the construction project.
