116th BSTB tests Soldier skills on Warrior Lanes

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Fredericksburg-based 116th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team test their their basic combat skills during Warrior Lanes June 14-15, 2016, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Soldiers from across the battalion were organized into platoons and squads, then navigated a number of different training lane scenarios include basic demolitions, mounted and dismounted patrolling and Army Warrior Tasks like how to properly put on an NBC protective mask, put a radio into operation, land navigation, individual movement techniques, react to enemy contact, evaluate a casualty and request medical evacuation.
