AG recognizes 183rd RTI Soldiers

Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, recognizes seven Soldiers assigned to the Fort Pickett-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute Aug. 27, 2016, for outstanding duty performance during the 2016 Regimental Accreditation process. Accreditations take place every three years and involves a process that spanned over four months, during which the RTI was graded by evaluators from their proponents and National Guard Bureau teams in all areas to include safety, personnel management, operations, supply and Instruction. The proponents evaluated were Infantry, Transportation and Military Police as well as Officer Candidate School and Warrant Officer Candidate School. The accreditation process consisted of paperwork review, inspections, training visits and in-person interviews. The final results of the accreditation is expected in the next few weeks. Williams presented his challenge coin to Sgt. 1st Class Richard Foster, Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Blankenbaker, Staff Sgt. Charles Cranford, Maj. Jenna Linke, Sgt. 1st Class Kevin Hubbard, Master Sgt.
