Soldiers transport cockpit trainer, helicopter for future historic displays

Soldiers assigned to the Virginia National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility in Sandston, Virginia, transport an F-16C Fighting Falcon cockpit procedure trainer and UH-1 Huey helicopter from the former Virginia Aviation Museum at the Richmond International Airport Dec. 21, 2016. The F-16C trainer was used by the 192nd Fighter Wing, while they flew the F-16C from 1991 to 2007. The Virginia Guard’s 986th Medical Detachment (Air Ambulance) flew the Huey in the Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm from September 1990 through October 1991. Both will be stored until they are used in future historical displays. (Photo by Sgt. Amanda H. Johnson, Virginia National Guard Public Affairs)
